Albums are a place where potential travel companions can check which countries we have visited.

Plaza - this is the main screen after logging in. There you will find currently logged in people, the one latest forum announcements, the TravelPosts wall, people matched to the trip and new travelers from our area or city.

Travellers forum - this is a place where you can see what topics related to trips are currently being discussed. If you find an ad that interests you, contact the advertiser as soon as possible.

Traveller search engine - the next step is to find people who are planning a trip to the same place and at a similar time. If you find such people, check when they were last logged in and contact them with your travel offer.
If searching for the right people seems too time-consuming, consider adding a topic to traveller forum and wait for replies. Forum topics are publicly available, which means more people will see them. In addition, you can highlight your topic for a fee so that it doesn't disappear in the thicket of new ads.

Travel albums - in the meantime, it's worth creating albums from previously completed trips. Attractive photos from countries we've visited can attract the attention of other travelers and encourage them to check out our offer. A profile photo is one thing, but travel albums are of a completely different quality.

Trip edit, profile, photos - to add or update the details of your trip, go to the tab (available after logging in) and make the appropriate changes. After you finish editing, remember to click the UPDATE TRIP button to save the changes.

Extra Plans - if you want to highlight your trip, you can add it to the Extra Plan tab. It will be visible on the main page (Plaza). Additionally, you have the option to add another trip. Thanks to these steps, you will increase the chance of effectively reaching the right people and presenting your travel offer in an attractive way.


If you care about privacy and don't want your name or photos to be visible online, go to the menu SETTINGS and select the option "Profile invisible to people who are not logged in", then save your choice. In the section "Profile privacy for logged in guests", you can control who has access to your profile by limiting visibility based on gender or age.

  • A problem with logging in may occur when you enter incorrect data, such as your e-mail address or password.
  • If you forgot your password, you can reset it by pressing the padlock symbol. on the login page.
  • If you forgot your e-mail address, please contact us using the contact form.
  • For users who had an account at the old Olneo.pl please first click on the link that will come to the mail (the first time you try to log in to New Olneo), then enter the e-mail and a new password on the login page, otherwise it will result in an error message. Please enter your password carefully.
  • If you can t log in because the 404 page shows up, enable cookies (cookies) in your smartphone or computer browser (Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome) and then log in again.
If you forget your password, you can reset it by clicking the blue padlock symbol on the login page. Then, follow the instructions displayed on the screen or in the message sent to you.
  • You must carefully fill in all registration fields, and then press the "register" button.
  • Remember to use a proper password with a minimum of 5 characters, including 1 letter and 1 number. Omitting this will force you to re-enter some options in the form from the beginning.
  • For Users who had an account on the old Olneo.pl, please first click on the link that will be sent to your email (on the first attempt to log in to the New Olneo), and only then enter your e-mail and new password on the login page. Doing otherwise will result in an error message. Please enter your password carefully.
A listing is added automatically once the profile is fully completed. If we want to update our trip or personal data, we can do it in the profile editing menu located in the top bar next to our own photo thumbnail.
Every traveller can earn badges that distinguish their activity on the site.

  • Profile Edit is located in the menu on the right side at the very top of the screen - next to your small avatar.
  • After registration, we proceed to edit the profile. To have access to all options of the Travellers' Portal, we should fill out and save the Trip Edit column and the Profile Edit column.
  • Filling out the profile is mandatory because it is easier to find people who also have a fully completed profile.
  • Furthermore, we did not want to introduce "ghost" accounts, where profiles are available but, for example, the traveller's age, travel date, and other unfilled criteria are not visible.
  • If your travel date has passed and you do not update it, your listing will not be found in the search engine in the "search for people with an active travel date" field.
  • In summary, if you do not want to travel for now, but you still have to fill out your profile and the fields "which countries do you want to go to", "when", etc., then in this case, after filling out these fields, put your profile to sleep in the settings. After "putting it to sleep", you will have access to the entire service, but your profile will not be displayed to people in search results and on the beach.

The Travel Posts Board is available on the beach. The board is used for sharing various information and news about specific countries.
To find information about a specific country, simply select the appropriate country from the filter options to see the entire history of travel-posts added about that country on the board. We also have the ability to comment on information that has been added by other travellers from the Olneo.pl service. Non-commercial posts and photos can be placed on the board.
On the board, we can also post videos of our travels from Youtube.com, and various user activities will appear, such as recently added forum topics or albums from trips.
  • After adding a topic to the forum, it is active for 90 days, after which it is automatically closed (other people can no longer reply) and goes to the archive.
  • You can close the topic at any time with the "close topic" button. To do this, while logged in, click on your topic on the forum and press the "close topic" button.
  • The topic will also be closed when a new topic is added. A padlock icon appears next to closed topics.
  • Topic categories. You can add a post in one of three categories: LAST MINUTE, I'M ORGANISING, and GROUP LOOKING.
  • Highlighting a topic. After adding a standard topic (having a Trusted Profile and an Extra Account), you can highlight it with colour and "pin" it to the top of the topics for the duration of the Extra Account.
Reputation can be earned in many ways, mainly through activity on the site and interactions with other travellers. By increasing your reputation, you gain achievements and the resulting benefits for the traveller.
A traveller's reputation is the evaluation of other people logged into the portal and performing various activities necessary to earn reputation points. When on a traveller's profile, pressing or evaluates the relationship with that person on the site. Nominations are not permanent and can be changed to a plus at any time or the selection can be removed by pressing the same button. Nominations have a positive context, they are shown collectively in the bar next to the reputation, telling us whether that person is an active participant in the service. To add or withdraw a Specific Traveller nomination, you must purchase a Trusted Traveller Profile.
What should you consider when adding a personal nomination?

1. Do not add a nomination if you have not written, talked, or do not know the person at all.
Value of a positive nomination.
Specific Traveller (positive) is a person who is eager and, as far as possible, often tries to experience adventures on a distant or nearby trail, thereby making others addicted to their passion

Earn traveller badges and points. More information about the remaining points to be earned can be found after logging into the service.

Only trusted travellers have unlimited ability to:
  • write and read private messages,
  • add comments after a trip.
A trusted profile is valid for 150 days from the date of purchase:
  • 1. Basic Trusted Profile
  • 2. Trusted Profile with Open Mail and additional colourful highlighting of the avatar.
By having a Trusted Profile:
  • You confirm that you are a real person interested in travelling together.
  • You receive an appropriate badge.
  • Thanks to Open Mail, people who do not have a Trusted Profile can correspond.
We do not create a trip group, we have it automatically created at the moment of correct and full completion of the edit trip tab in our profile.

When at least one traveller joins the group, from that moment we have an active group visible in the "groups" tab. The group founder can make a preliminary selection of people they would see in the organized trip. Thus, they can accept a traveller's request to join the trip or reject and remove them from the group. An active trip group must have at least one accepted person.

On the page with an active group you can exchange information with travellers and post comments to accepted people after the trip has ended, and accepted people can post comments to the Founder.

After the trip date ends, the trip and the group itself close automatically, or the group Founder can close the trip at any time by pressing the "end trip" button. After the trip is closed, you can post comments to people who were accepted into the trip group.

How to join a group? To join a group, you must press the "JOIN THE TRIP" button, which is located in every trip group. To enter a trip group, click GROUPS > TRIP TOPIC and click the "JOIN THE TRIP" button, or while on the profile of the person you are interested in, click the "More" button and select "JOIN THE TRIP".

How to leave a group? To leave a group, you must press the "leave" button, which is located in every trip group we have joined or are waiting to be accepted into.

Comments after the trip has ended. To add a comment, we select the country where we had the joint trip (if there were more countries, we choose the main one), add the content of the comment and a rating.
Available ratings: positive neutral negative

For travellers to join our group, our profile should stand out with, among other things, a good topic and trip description, along with added profile photos and albums from trips (so-called blogs). That's how it works, if I see that you travel a lot, it means you are a real globetrotter and I will gladly join your next expedition.
We have divided the search engine into two parts so that it does not take up much space.
The Simple Search contains the most basic options in a minimal version.
The Advanced Search has many more criteria for searching for other users than the simple search.

To run the advanced search, you need to press the button located next to the "Search" button in the search box. If you want to return to the simple search, press the same button with the text "Simple search". The people search is available in the Travellers tab.
With an active date searches for people only with a current travel date; people with travel months that have already passed are skipped.
With your destination searches for people with at least one identical travel destination that you have marked in the trip edit. If the number of symbols (globe) next to a traveller is, for example, 3, it means that you have 3 identical travel countries marked.
The trip budget has been determined by hotel stars; the fewer stars, the smaller the trip budget.
To read or reply to a message, we must get to the message screen. We can do this in two ways. The first is to click on the avatar at the top of the screen with the messages option, the second way is to click on the letter icon located in the top bar on the left side of the screen. We will see the messages, containing the user's photo and the title, date and letter icon. By clicking on the user's photo, we go to their profile, while by clicking on the message title, we enter the conversation screen. A closed letter icon means that the last correspondence we sent has not yet been read by the person concerned, an open letter icon informs that our correspondence has been read.
  • After logging in, we have access to personal settings. In addition to the options to change the password, e-mail address, and delete the account, we get the ability to set all notifications that can come to our private e-mail address.
  • This is helpful, as we do not have to monitor the service all the time to know that we have, for example, received a new message or a reply on the forum.
  • In addition to the above, one more thing should be mentioned concerning hibernating the account; after hibernating the account, our profile does not appear in search results and on the beach. This is a good option for people who are not planning trips but want to be active on the site.
  • An additional option is the ability to set the visibility of one's own profile only for people logged into the service.
  • Travellers have the option to hide their profile:
  • From people not logged into the service. If you need just such privacy and do not want your photos to be visible on the internet, select the "profile not visible to non-logged-in people" option in the SETTINGS menu and save your choice.
  • From people logged into the service, by restricting settings via "age or gender".
  • Individually blocking a specific person from entering the profile as well as blocking them from writing messages via the "block" option.
  • Hibernating (suspending) the account, the profile does not appear in search results or on the beach. - Changes can be made after logging in in the "settings" tab.
Account deletion is located on the settings page. You can always use the "suspend account" option, then the profile is not displayed in search results and on the beach results.

A few useful tips


People looking for a travel companion for a trip or to, for example, avoid paying extra for a "single room" may encounter ambiguous proposals from other people (usually women from men).

The Olneo.pl Traveller Search is not a dating, erotic, or sexual service, but only a service for finding a travel companion. Statistically, on every portal, there are people who are looking for something slightly different from what the service offers. We ask for your understanding and to "turn a blind eye" to individual cases and continue to correspond with people who meet our conditions. We do not moderate internal mail and do not select people who can send proposals for sex-holidays; we leave that selection to you...
The traveller doesn't reply after reading my letter, why?

Sometimes it happens that someone doesn't reply to your message, below are a few suggestions as to why this might be.
First, a person who is not interested in travelling with the opposite sex will not reply to you.
Second, your profile does not meet the travel criteria of the other person (destination, date, or purpose of travel).
Third, your age, appearance, or other factors over which we have little control are a minus.

Dear travellers, please reply to letters from people who have written to you, even if you are not interested in the trip (here, state why) or simply thank them for the letter. Replying even to an immoral proposal and saying a firm no thank you is a polite form that costs nothing, and the other person will know there is no interest. Surely you too would like to receive some kind of response to your own message rather than just seeing the read message icon... so let's try to reply!
Traveller safety, i.e., placing contact information in the description

For safety reasons, we recommend not placing contact information (phone number, email address, home address) in the subject and description fields. The subject and description fields are available to internet users and web crawlers traversing the internet. Furthermore, we never know who is really on the other side if we don't first talk to them via the service's internal mail, Skype, phone, or meet for a trial in a busy place like a restaurant or cafe.

Tips:
- if you are meeting a traveller for the first time, inform your loved ones.
- give the contact number of the person you are meeting or travelling with to a friend or family.
- A few letters on the service and a few phone calls are usually enough to get an idea of who you are dealing with. If you still have any doubts - don't go.
